On Monday evening, a musical performance entitled ‘Khat Vong Da Nang’ (Da Nang’s Aspiration) took place in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Tien Commune to mark the first death anniversary of the late former city leader and Chief of the Central Internal Affairs Commission of Viet Nam.

The event featured famous songs which honour Mr Thanh’s talent, virtue and devotion to the city’s progress, and praise the land and the people of Da Nang.  Included were ‘Da Nang Toi Yeu’ (Da Nang – My Beloved City), ‘Tho Gui Ba’ (Poem for Father), ‘Da Nang Dang Xuan’ (Da Nang in Spring), and ‘Tinh Yeu Da Nang’ (Love for Da Nang). 

On Tuesday evening, the city’s Young Composers’ Club held a musical programme at the W-Love coffee shop at 5B Quang Trung in commemoration of Mr Thanh.  Themed ‘Nhung Bai Ca Anh Voi Que Huong’ (Songs about You and Your Hometown), the event featured songs composed by club members.  They included ‘Song Mai Voi Que Huong’ (Living Forever with Homeland), and ‘Mai Nho Ve Anh’ (Missing You Forever).
