Preschool pupils back to school starting Feb.21
According to fresh instructions released by the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, preschool kids in Da Nang will return to school for in-person learning on February 21 after a long campus closure triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the in-force rules, only educational institutions in the areas with COVID-19 risk levels 1, 2 and 3 (green-low and yellow-moderate and orange- high alerts respectively) are allowed to run on-campus learning at preschools.
On the basis of voluntary registration for school returns made by kids’ parents or guardians, preschool establishments shall develop a plan to organize face-to-face learning and practice safety measures against COVID-19.
All the plans must be appraised and approved by the district-level administrations before the school reopening.
In particular, day boarding services will be organised provided that the preschool is committed to ensuring the conditions for food safety and nutrition, and complying with the principles of COVID-19 prevention and control.
As for 5-year-old preschool children, teachers select necessary educational contents with the priority given to the organization of educational activities for their preparations for taking the first grade in the primary school.
