Proposal to open direct flight between China's Zhanjiang and Da Nang
Hosting a reception on Thursday for Ms. He Jiamin, Deputy Mayoress of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong remarked Da Nang and Zhanjiang shared many similarities as both were coastal cities.

Also, Da Nang was a vital intersection of roads and railways to the North and South, opening up new opportunities for the city to boost bilateral economic cooperation in the region, and develop trade, services and tourism, he added.
The city leader informed that Da Nang has been dedicating many resources to develop the key economic sectors of services and tourism, with a focus on strongly boosting the development of information technology, high technology, and innovative startups.
Over the past time, Da Nang has established friendly and cooperative relations with a number of Chinese localities, including Shandong, Jiangsu, Macau Special Administrative Region, and Kunming City in Yunnan Province.
Mr. Cuong voiced his hope that the Chinese guest would exert greater efforts to encourage potential investors and businesses from her country to seek cooperation and investment opportunities in services, tourism, and hi-technology aspects in Da Nang.

On behalf of the delegation of Chinese visitors, Deputy Mayoress He Jiamin thanked the city leader for the respectful welcome. She revealed that Zhanjiang City has more than 2,000km of coastline, and plays a vital role in the economic development of Guangdong Province, China.
The Chinese guest proposed to open a direct flight between Zhanjiang City and Da Nang to meet travel demand from the people of the two cities, as Da Nang is also one of the favourite tourist destinations of Guangdong Province’s people.
With similarities in geographical locations, Ms. He Jiamin expressed her hope that the two cities would soon enhance the bilateral cooperation in developing seaports and logistics for directly bringing agricultural, aquatic and marine products from Viet Nam to Guangdong Province, and China as a whole.
During this business trip to Da Nang, the delegation of Zhanjiang City visited and surveyed the investment environment in the Da Nang High-Tech Park and some local industrial parks. They expressed their impressions with the city’s preferential FDI attraction policy, and hoped that the two cities will further promote cooperation in high-tech fields.
