Two persons were electrocuted after a fallen power wire reportedly hit the motorcycle on which they were travelling in Hoa An Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang on Monday.

The dead was 31-year-old man and the injured person was his wife aged 28, both of Thanh Khe District’s Tam Thuan Ward.

According to Mr Nguyen Xi, the Head of the Hoa An Ward Police Station, the accident occurred around 6.50pm as the man was riding his motorcycle along Yen The Street heading towards the Hue T-junction Overpass, with his wife as a pillion, when a fallen power wire hit their bike.

Both persons were reportedly electrocuted, the man died on the spot, whist his wife was injured and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

At that time, another male motorbike driver, whose identity remains unknown, also got stuck in the fallen power line. Fortunately, he was safe and sound.

The electrocution case is still under investigation.
