Promoting technological applications, transfer and innovations

A seminar recently took place in Da Nang to discuss the organisation of the ‘2017 Technological Applications, Transfer and Innovations’ programme which is scheduled to be held in the city in November.

The upcoming event will feature various activities to boost technological performance and its supply-demand links, and to enhance the operational activites of science and technology application centres nationwide. 

The municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman cum Head of the city’s Department of Publicity and Training, Mr Dang Viet Dung, remarked “Science and technology is one of the city’s important foundations which is associated with the local socio-economic development orientations.  It is also considered a driving forces for boosting the city's economy”.

He added, “Technological supply-demand links and its performance aim to help the city’s businesses boost their technological applications, transfer and innovations to enhance the competitiveness of their goods.  They will also facilitate local businesses to promote science and technology applications into their production activities, which will, in turn, bring practical economic efficiency for south central and highland localities, and for Viet Nam as a whole”.

A representative from the Ministry of Science and Technology, announced that numerous activities will be held during the ‘2017 Technological Applications, Transfer and Innovations’ programme.

In detail, 5 seminars will be organised to introduce participants to technological applications which have been developed by domestic businesses and are ready to be transfered. 

In addition, there will be 7 sessions to promote the latest technology and technological transfer connections between businesses in Viet Nam and such countries as South Korea, Japan and Taiwan.  A total of 250 technological applications, and science and technological products, will be also introduced at the event.
