Appealing for investment into large-scale projects
The Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment recently announced a list of 14 local projects for attracting domestic and FDI inflows, 5 of which are large-scale ones.
Most notable is a project comprising of complexes of high-rise buildings near the eastern end of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward. In preparation for the annual Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) in future years, this project will be implemented during the 2017 – 2021 period at a cost of 11,439 billion VND, not including site clearance costs. Covering a total area of 225,923m2, the project will feature complexes of condotels and commercial service areas, and the buildings will range between 42 and 57-floor high.
Appeals for investment are also being made for the construction of the Hoa Ninh and Hoa Nhon industrial parks (IPs) in Hoa Vang District, with each valued at about 3,000 billion VND. These projects are expected to be deployed in the 2017 – 2022 period. Other projects, worth 1,000 billion VND each, are the building of public parks on the eastern and western ends of the Nguyen Van Troi pedestrian-only bridge, and for the deployment of the 2nd stage of Hoa Cam IP in Cam Le District.
In addition, investment is being encouraged for the construction of an ecological urban area on the northern side of Hoang Van Thai Street in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Son Commune at a cost of 795 billion VND, not including site clearance costs. The project is expected to be deployed over the 2017 - 2022 period.
