CPI down by 0.01% in July
According to the nation’s General Statistics Office, Viet Nam’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in July rose by 0.11% against the previous month, whilst Da Nang’s CPI slightly dropped by 0.01%.

In detail, the prices of transportation and fuel declined significantly by 1.78% and 3.16% respectively due to the decreases in domestic fuel prices on 5 July. In addition, the price of postal and telecommunication services showed a slight decrease of 0.05%.
The prices of fashionable items, headwear, footwear, drinks, and medicine and healthcare services remained stable.
However, the highest increase during the month was for housing and building materials at 0.38% due to a rapid growth of the local real estate market. The price of food services went up by 0.2% due to the hike in food prices. The prices of the remaining groups increased slightly.
