Da Nang Fine Arts Museum opens to public
The Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, the third of its kind in the country, opened to the public on 19 December.
The museum was set up in late 2014, and its construction began in May 2015 on nearly 2,000 m2 at the cost of 29 billion VND (1.26 million USD).
On its inauguration, the museum received 33 valuable works from the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association.
It currently accommodates 604 works of arts, traditional handicraft products, and winning pieces by artists from Da Nang and elsewhere in the central region and highlands since 1976.
Visitors are also able to contemplate fabric patterns, ethnic costumes, pagoda and temple sculptures, woodwork, masks used for classical drama and pottery.
The other 2 fine arts museums are in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
