5 residents trapped in flooded alley rescued
Officers and men from Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District Police on Sunday evening successfully rescued a total of 5 residents who had been trapped in badly flooded alley No K96/169 Dien Bien Phu Street.

The victims are a young couple with two little kids, and a pregnant woman.
Major General Truong Huy Chuong, the Deputy Head of Thanh Khe District Police Station said, at that time, the heavy downpours caused flooding at some locations in Chinh Gian Ward. In particular, many houses at alley No K96/169 faced neck-deep floods.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, a total of 10 rescuers, in a prompt fashion, arrived at the scene to help the victims. By 10.00 pm, the rescue mission had completed.
At that time, residents in the alley opened main sewers for rainwater to quickly drain away.
In some areas in the district, the floodwater has been drained away. However, functional forces are still ready to conduct rescue and support activities.
