Two international luxury cruise ships brought a combined total of more than 2,000 international passengers to Da Nang on Tuesday morning.

Specifically, the Da Nang branch of the Saigontourist Travel Service Company-arranged Resort World cruise ship, with 1,500 passengers mainly from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Japan on board, docked at the city’s Tien Sa Port at 6:00am.

The Ho Chi Minh City-based Tan Hong Trading and Tourism Company Limited-arranged Sliver Muse cruise ship, carrying 500 guests of British, French, American, Italian and Canadian nationalities, berthed at the Tien Sa Port at 8:00am.

Upon arrival, the international guests were taken to visit some of popular tourist attractions in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City.

In Da Nang, tourists visited the Marble Mountain special national-level relic site, Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, the Bridge of Love, the Rong (Dragon) Bridge, and the My Khe Beach, and took a city tour.

In order to ensure the safety of the guests, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, coordinated with the authorities of Son Tra, Hai Chau, Ngu Hanh Son and Hoa Vang districts and functional forces to organise ceremonies to welcome cruise ship passengers and handle harassment of tourists.

The Resort World ship left Da Nang at 3:00pm on the same day, whilst the Sliver Muse ship is expected to leave the city at 6:00pm.

Earlier on March 6, the Europa 2 cruise ship, arranged by the Da Nang branch of the Saigontourist Travel Service Company, brought 400 international guests to Da Nang, and it left the city at 11:00pm on the same day.
