The final round and awards ceremony of the nation-level contest entitled ‘Youth with Traffic Culture’ took place in Da Nang on Monday.

By beating 20 rivals in the final round, 24-year-old Tran Thi Ven from Kien Giang won the first prize of a motorcycle.  In addition, 5 second, 14 third and 300 consolation prizes were awarded to contestants.

The contest was co-organised by the Central Viet Nam Youth Federation, the National Traffic Safety Committee, and the Honda Viet Nam company.  Launched in September 2015, it attracted around 25,000 entries, an increase of 5,000 against 2014.

The contest’s organising board and 47 Youth Union organisations nationwide had previously organised 166 training courses for 57,000 members to raise their awareness of traffic safety and teach them how to drive safely.
