Da Nang student crowned Miss University 2016
Dang Thi Thu Hong, a college student in Da Nang, was crowned Miss University Viet Nam 2016 at the Hoa Binh Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City last Saturday.

By beating 29 rivals in the final round, the 19-year-old from the Da Nang College of Commerce won the crown, 200 million VND in cash, and other valuable gifts from the pageant’s sponsors.
Ngo Thi Mai Phuong from the Ha Noi University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Ton Hong Hoa from Ho Chi Minh City’s Van Hien University were the first and second runners-up respectively.
The top 3 now have the opportunity to visit the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago next year.
The annual Miss University Viet Nam contest aims to discover the beauty, intelligence, self-confidence and virtue of female students nationwide.
The event was jointly organised by the Viet Nam Youth Union, the Viet Nam Students’ Association, the Thanh Giong Port, the Viet Nam Centre for Supporting and Developing Students, and the IMC Corporation.
