Hoi An to host Light Festival for Lunar New Year celebration

Quang Nam province's Hoi An and Thai-owned Index Living Mall will jointly organise the Light Festival to welcome 2017, the Year of the Rooster.

The event will take place between 27 January (Lunar New Year Eve) and 5 February at the An Hoi Bridge, the Hoai River, Kazik Park, the ‘Chua Cau’ (Japanese Covered Bridge), and other places.
Each light show is expected to last from 7 to 10 minutes, starting at 7.00pm, 8.00pm and 9.00pm every night.
Vice Chairman of the Hoi An People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son said that the event aims to attract tourists to the ancient town during Tet.
