Da Nang leader offers greetings on Lao National Day

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet extended greetings on the 48th National Day of Laos (December 2) and 103rd birthday of late President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13), while visiting the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang on Friday morning.

On behalf of the Party, government and people of Da Nang, Deputy Secretary Triet sent good congratulations to leaders of the Party, State, Government and people of Laos; Lao Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang; and all staff of the Lao Consulate General in the city on the special occasions.

The Da Nang official expressed his delight at great achievements gained by the Lao people in the cause of national building and defence, which have helped ensure political security, improve people’s material and spiritual lives, and enhance the country’s position in the international arena over the past 48 years.

He voiced his belief that the Consulate General will fulfill its tasks to actively contribute to the Viet Nam - Laos relations, including Da Nang ties with Lao localities.

Appreciating the sentiment and attention from Da Nang’s Party, government and people, Lao Consul General in the city Souphanh Hadaoheuang thanked local authorities for providing active support for south central provinces of Laos, and the best possible conditions for the Lao community to live and work in the city.

He wished that the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos in general, between the south central provinces of Laos and Da Nang in particular, will be forever green, and eternally sustainable.
