The Da Nang Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Sun Group held a press conference in the city on Monday to announce the launch of the Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022.

In his remarks at the press conference, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son said that right from the beginning of the year, the city has issued a number of support policies to drive the tourism recovery such as enhancing service quality and improving infrastructure.

In addition, a series of new tourism products and services have been developed in Da Nang with the aim of promoting the tourism images of the city, as well as boost the resumption of direct international flights, to attract more tourists to the city.

Most notable among them are the Da Nang-Ly Son inland waterway tourism route, night-time entertainment activities along the My An Beach in Ngu Hanh Son District, the An Thuong Tourist Streets, Routes Asia 2022, Asian Golf Tournament in September, and more.

Tourism businesses, including Sun Group, have actively put into operation and exploited new unique tourism products in a bid to enhance the attractiveness and reputation of Da Nang’s destinations.

Particularly, the Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area has recently introduced some new tourism products, including a mountain-climbing railway that is nearly 430 metres long, moon castle, sun god waterfall, an arts show entitled ‘The Battle of the Moon Kingdom’ performed by more than 160 international artists.

Notably, Da Nang takes the lead in the first edition of the Viet Nam Tourism Competitiveness Indexes, according to the National Tourism Advisory Board (TAB). Recently, Da Nang has made it into a list of the 25 Best Places to visit in Asia in 2022 announced by TripAdvisor - the world-famous US travel site.

“The Enjoy Danang Summer Festival contributes to affirming that Da Nang tourism is on course to make breakthroughs when there is a joint contribution of businesses. The local government highly lauded great efforts made by the municipal Department of Tourism, departments, agencies, localities and the tourism business community, for accompanying the city in the organisation of special events and festivals. This has significantly contributed to affirming Da Nang’s position as a leading festival and event destination in Asia", emphasised Vice Chairman Son.

The Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022, slated for June 11 to August 15, promises to deliver a wide range of large-scale vibrant and exciting activities and events.

The most highlight of the festival will be a series of events "Take me to the Sun”.  Sponsored and organised by Sun Group, the events are scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday evenings in July.

The Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2022 will feature three main themes, namely Enjoy Da Nang Festival & Music, Enjoy Da Nang Beach and Enjoy Da Nang Delicacy.

Besides, the SUNFEST Street Carnival is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday evenings from June 25 - July 24 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm daily from Tran Thi Ly Bridge to Rong (Dragon) Bridge.

The "Take me to the Sun" music concerts will be organised on July 9 at the Asia Park and the March 29 Square.

Also, both locals and visitors will immerse themselves in vibrant music atmosphere at the EDM Concert in August at the Asia Park in August.

The Danang Summer Enjoyment Festival 2022 promises to bring visitors a jubilant festival space, international-scale arts shows, fascinating carnivals, and large-scale concerts, along with a series of special culinary and arts programmes.
