2016 contest for students concludes

The final round of the 2016 Da Nang Contest for Talented and Elegant Students took place at the Trung Vuong Theatre last Saturday. 

Twelve female individuals and 5 male/female duos demonstrated their looks in Vietnamese traditional and optional costumes, and competed in a question and answer session.

Nhu Thuy from Tran Phu Senior High School took the first prize in the female singles category, whilst Hoang Hung and Tu Uyen from Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School won first prize in the mixed duos.

The organisers also presented awards to the female contestant who won the ‘Miss Ao Dai’, the contestant who received the highest number of votes from the audience, and the one who had the best performance in the question and answer session.

Co-organised by the municipal Youth Union and the Department of Education and Training, this year’s competition had attracted a total of 149 candidates from local universities, colleges, technical secondary schools and senior high schools.
