Ile-de-France: the region has signed three “rush hour smoothing” agreements

The Ile-de-France region has signed three agreements with companies in large economic areas in Ile-de-France which undertake to adjust the time of hiring of their employees in an attempt to limit the congestion of public transport, said Thursday its president Valérie Pécresse.
These agreements “smoothing peak hours” for example allow employees to arrive “one hour earlier, at 7 am to 7:30 am, another later, at 9:30 am to 10 am”, she explained on franceinfo, in wishing “that companies be partners in limiting transport congestion”, all the more so in times of epidemics.
Three agreements have been signed: with the business district of La Défense (west), the companies of the territorial public establishment of Plaine Commune (north) and those of Evry Courcouronnes (south).
Two thirds of users
With these measures, and the “dose” of teleworking that some companies continue to apply, “we are roughly two-thirds” of users who have resumed public transport since deconfinement in May. This rate, “it is very good, it is what is necessary”, she judged.
She underlined that in accordance with the recommendations of the health authorities, the non-respect of a distance of one meter in transport was not a problem as long as “one puts on the mask”.
“We tripled the disinfection and cleaning of transport,” she added, also calling for “washing your hands systematically as soon as you get out of transport”.
